Welcome to Tigard

Reimagining the unique style and charm of the sixties in a modern setting.

Located about 10 miles south of downtown Portland, Tigard belongs to Washington County and is the 12th-largest city in Oregon. It’s a thriving suburban community devoted to arts, culture, history, and recreation. Once known as Tigardville, it was named after Wilson Tigard, one of the town’s original settlers. Tigard was incorporated as a city in 1961 after the arrival of the Oregon Electric Railway in 1910 triggered the development of Main Street and spurred a period of growth.

Modern Tigard features some of the best shopping in Oregon, top-notch community theater, and great golf. It’s also one of the most livable cities in the state, with solid schools, a strong economy, and outstanding amenities.
