Just southeast of Portland and on the northwest edge of Clackamas County, you will find the majestic suburb city of Happy Valley. First settled in the 1850s, the region was variously known as Christilla Valley or Deardorff Valley. Mount Scott, an inactive volcano over 1,000 feet high, dominates the geography of what we now call Happy Valley. Scouters Mountain is also viewable and a popular place to explore.
 
Although unincorporated until 1965, Happy Valley is known as one of the wealthiest cities in Oregon. Its modest population enjoys the area’s quaint suburban feel.

They also serve wine that pairs with your meal of choice. One of the best steakhouses around, Stanford’s Clackamas serves pasta and sandwiches in addition to steak. Located just a few minutes west of Happy Valley, it’s the somewhat rare example of a family-friendly steakhouse. Contemporary American chain serving steak, pasta & sandwiches, plus cocktails & local beers.
 
In Happy Valley, there are many clothing stores to explore all the latest, trendiest fashions. Two popular choices are Sublime Clothing, where you can find stylish clothing, home decor, and more, and Buckle, which has the perfect outfit for any occasion. Buckle is situated within the Clackamas Town Center, where you can find a movie theater and upscale shopping and dining experiences.

Whether traveling nearby or a resident of Happy Valley, you need to check out Hidden Falls Nature Park. Here you will see majestic waterfalls, a covered bridge, and plenty of natural splendor no matter where your eyes look.
